BACKGROUND
  • Prior to joining the Judicial Arbiter Group, Inc. in 2009, Steve Pelican served twenty-three years on Colorado’s 4th Judicial District Court in Colorado Springs. Since his appointment to the bench he was highly ranked in every Bar Association Poll and Colorado Judicial Performance Review in that district. In 2002 Pelican successfully completed the Harvard Law School Program of Instruction in Mediation and Negotiation, I and II. He also is a graduate of both the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) and the National Judicial College in Reno, Nevada. Pelican has been active his entire life in professional, civic and family matters. Professionally he has served on numerous bar association and judicial committees including the Colorado Bar Association Board of Governors and the Bar’s Committee on Professionalism. He also served on the University of Colorado Law School Alumni Board from 1992 until 1995. Pelican and his wife have spent a lifetime together working to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis and helped found the Pikes Peak Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
